Eric put his bike together much faster than I did mine. I had disconnected all my brake and shifter cables and put pipe insulation on all the frame tubes. My case had a big dent in the aluminum frame but there appears to not be any damage to the bike.
Brian and Brenda grilled for us and we ate outside. They are wonderful hosts. The Trail Ridge Merlot I brought Brian was good. Slept well. B & B are off to work now. Eric and I plan to test the assembled bikes this morning and maybe take our bike cases to FedEx at noon (with Brian) to ship to the Tybee Island GA hotel.

If you guys were serious bikers, you'd be riding from the east coast to the west coast (i.e. into the prevailing wind).
And I thought you were tough :-)
Ashley and I will be in Atlanta on 16 June. If you went a little faster, you could be in Georgia by then and we could get together. Of course, this would mean you'd have to do 500-600 miles per day...is that not possible? ;-)
Happy riding.
If it were east to west (Atlantic to Pacific) then it couldn't be called PAC Tour (Pacific Atlantic Coast Tour)! Thanks for the comment.
Glad to hear day 1 went well.
I thought you guys would be carrying all the water for the other riders and the illegals. Don't you know the trick of putting ice cubes in your camelback??
Glad to see you have plenty of company to keep you company and help you find your way -- I've heard you can be somewhat directionally-challenged!!
Keep riding strong and don't forget the Bag Balm and leg shaving.

Pretty impressive stuff big bro. Think of all the miles you could have gotten in if you rode to school everyday from Meadow Lake( oh sure it sounds like paradise) to Los Lunas on that long deserted road(what was Daddy thinking?). Dan wanted me to ask you if you've seen Lon Haldeman? Stay safe. Love you, Valerie
